In a recent automotive conference in Traverse City, Michigan, executives of General Motors and Honda discussed their different research plans. Each appear to be taking different directions.
On the one hand you have General Motors who wants to offer vehicles that take advantage of several alternative solutions to gasoline including ethanol powered vehicles and electric cars. On the other hand, you have Honda who wants to pick just a few technologies and pursue them.
Honda execs believe that it is too expensive to fund research in all technologies.
